What is a daughter of the King? Is every girl one? If not, who is and who isn't? How do you know if you are one? Those are some excellent questions, and to answer them, we'll have to take a look at a Story, the core story of the Bible.
Back at the beginning of time, before the earth or even the universe existed, was God. He, in only five days, made the universe, all the planets, stars, flowers, oceans, and all the other things of beauty we know. However, He needed a companion, someone to fellowship with, love, and be loved by. For this purpose, on the sixth day, after He made the animals living on dry land, He created a man, Adam, the masterpiece of His creation. Soon after, He also created Eve, the first woman. These two first human beings lived in the Garden of Eden. Everything was perfect; Adam and Eve never did wrong, they and the animals lived at peace with each other, and they most importantly fellowshipped and had a close relationship with God.
One day though, in a story very familiar to most of us, Satan came into the garden in the form of a snake. He convinced Eve, who in turn convinced Adam, to do wrong. At this moment, mankind's greatest problem, sin, came into the world, severing the relationship between God and people.
Each person, including you and me, are now sinners. We are all very familiar with that. We all lie, steal, cheat, say mean things to others, think wrong thoughts, are prideful, treat others wrongfully, and a host of other wicked things. Because of this, we can't have a relationship with our Creator and, after we die, instead of going to live with Him in Heaven, we are doomed to spend forever in Hell, a lake of fire that literally never ends and stretches on into all eternity. Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
But God in His great love for every single person He has or ever will create, doesn't want us to have to die in our sin and be separated from Him throughout eternity. He came down to earth in the form of His Son Jesus and took our punishment for sin by being crucified by the Romans. The most horrible part of our punishment that He took though was taking all the sins that anyone ever had or ever would commit, including mine and yours, on Himself, causing God to turn His back on Him. He did all this so that, if we accept His free gift and put our trust in Him, we can be forgiven and made clean of our sin and can have a restored relationship with God, destined to live in Heaven with Him forever. Romans 6:23 explains, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 5:8 further proclaims, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Three days after He was crucified, Jesus rose from the grave and, shortly after, returned to Heaven. There He is today, right now, waiting for those who will accept His gift to call on Him for forgiveness and a restored relationship with Him. Romans 10:9 says, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." A few verses down in verse 13, it says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
All one has to do to be saved from their sin and restore their relationship with God is to see themselves as a sinner, repent of their sin and believe in Jesus' gift on the cross and power to save them, and then simply ask Him to. No fancy words, religious airs, or difficult tasks are required. One must simply ask Him in faith. Ephesians 2:8-9 reads, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
After a person asks God, the King of kings, to be their Savior from sin, His Holy Spirit comes to live inside of them, and they are forever a child of the King. In John 10:28, Jesus taught, "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." In 2 Corinthians 6:18, after we read about being a clean temple for the Lord, He says, "And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." That is the miraculous Way each girl can be a daughter of the King of kings, if she chooses to accept His gift!
