Just letting y'all know that I am taking a break for Christmas from blogging for the next couple weeks. I look forward to being back with y'all though in January! Have a merry Christmas and enjoy celebrating the birth of our Savior! "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." ~Isaiah 9:6

Christmas is thought of as a time for giving. In the weeks leading up to it, we plan the gifts that we want to give to family and friends and then we eagerly await Amazon packages (and occasionally one from a different company ;P) so that we can wrap them and put them under the tree. But gifts aren't the only way to spread cheer at Christmas time. Here are eleven ideas of ways to spread the love God puts in our hearts even to strangers as we celebrate His birth this month! 1) DecorateSomething about lights and ornaments and ribbon bring happiness when you look at them. You could help decorate your church, school, or place that you work at, or even just your home or bedroom. Decorating the outside of your house is a great way to possibly bring a smile to a stranger's or neighbor's face, while decorating inside definitely makes a difference for your family. 2) Send mail
3) Christmas tracts4) Take part in caroling or visiting someoneAt Christmas time, a couple of the things that our church will do is caroling and doing a small Christmas service at the house of a lady in our church who isn't able to come out to church anymore. I know of some others in a different church who go caroling to the widows in their church. Taking part in something like this is a way to spread love to another person, and it tends to ignite cheer in your own heart too. 5) Talk to someone you wouldn't normallyThis could be someone at church that you already know or just the cashier that rings up your groceries. It could be a whole conversation if you have the chance or it could just be a simple "How has your day been?" or "Do you have any special plans for Christmas?" (and really be interested in and listen to the answer). 6) Make a phone or video call7) Pay for someone behind you
8) Christmas music9) Bake Christmas treats to give to family/friendsBaking cookies or brownies or whatever you like to make can be alot of fun, and it's a nice surprise for others. You could share them with your family and gift them to neighbors, classmates, teachers, co-workers, your mailman, friends at church, or people that you often see while running errands and things. 10) Compliment someone11) SmileIf you were to add a number 12 to this list, what would it be?
November is an interesting month, huh? It started out (at least it did for me) with it just starting to really feel like fall and then, by the end of it, it's the Christmas season. It definitely made for an interesting month! Here are some of my favorites from it; I'd enjoy hearing about some of yours down in the comments! <3 Favorite Events
A Favorite SongA Favorite VerseThis is a familiar one, but it comes to my mind all the time and is such a comforting promise that God will meet the desires of my heart if I delight in Him (and one I'm finding for myself that it is true!). "Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart." ~Psalm 37:4 A Favorite Story
