It seems like so often time just flies, but this month was somehow different. It didn't drag at all, but it went by at a good pace. A month ago seems like a long time ago. Was it that way for anyone else? Here, it was the wrap-up of summer and the beginning of the school year, plus some other fun things! (Yes, school is fun! :P) As you can tell if you scroll down, it was quite a busy month! But, without further ado, here are some of my favorites from this month that I'd like to share with you! (Did anyone else besides me notice that that rhymed? :D) I hope that you'll jump down to the comments and let me know how your month was and some of your favorites from it! Favorite Events
A Favorite Verse PassageAnd what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. ~Matthew 6:16-18 A Favorite SongI know I'd shared the video of the choir at Youth Congress singing this a few weeks ago, but this has been a special song this past month. We've been singing it as a teen group and even sung it in church last Sunday, and I've found myself just singing it to myself throughout the day sometimes. I noticed that some of the other teens were doing the same thing. ;) It's an uplifting song! A Favorite BookIt was hard to pick which book to share at first since I've enjoyed all the books I read this past month, but I settled on this one, Overrun by Your Love by Erika Matthews. I don't normally read alot of poetry, but this little book caught my eye after reading one of the poems from it. They're encouraging, thought-provoking poems, some about God and our relationship with Him, others about family and friends, and others about nature and a variety of other topics. I really do recommend this book to anyone, regardless of whether you normally like poetry or not! You can read my review of it on Goodreads here: Sophia E.’s review of Overrun By Your Love | Goodreads. How was August for you? What were some of your favorites? Also, do you normally like to read poetry? I hope you'll leave a comment letting me know below!

It's fun to hear how your month went! August went by quickly for me. Most months (and years more recently!) do. Yet, some things that happened a month ago seem like a long way in the past. :D It sounds like you had a full and enjoyable month, especially visiting with friends. I don't usually read poetry unless a friend or family member wrote it. I like writing stories, but poems are harder for me to write, though I recently did write one that turned out decently, I think. :) My month has been good! Some favorites for me were doing Bible studies on character and the commandments, and watching a big answer to prayer! God waited until nearly the last minute to show us this one and that was really special.

Poems are harder for me to write than stories too! I'm glad you liked the way that one turned out though!
